Volunteers Reviews
This is what our volunteers have said about the program
Ciao! I’m Priscilla,I’m 22 years old from Italy and I’m one of the volunteers of Tupendane Africa Foundation. I've always wanted to be part of a volunteer project in Africa, but I was unsure on what to expect and insecure about my capabilities, however from the first day I set foot in Tupendane my heart was filled with joy and reassurance from the warm welcoming of the directors, to the powerful women and all the lovely kids
They will always have a special place in my heart, and I will never forget this experience.
Hi, my name is Niamh and I am 20 years old. I came to Tupendane for a month to help the women learn valuable life skills and feel more confident. I’ve had the most amazing time getting to know the women here and have felt so inspired by them. They all have such positive attitudes towards learning and come in with smiles on their faces every morning. I’m so grateful to have had this experience and I hope to come back to see them all!
Hi, everyone! My name is Diana. Some time ago, I heard that when a woman is empowered, an entire family is truly empowered. That's why I chose this Women's Education program, as I felt it could have a greater impact. The experience has been wonderful, also very challenging, but meeting the women in Tupendane and receiving their affection has made it all worthwhile. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Hi! My name is Tabitha, I am 22 years old and I am from Scotland in the UK. I have been volunteering at Tupendane for 3 weeks and sadly only have 1 more week to go. I have absolutely loved my time here so far. It has been such a joy to meet the other staff and volunteers here, we are so lucky to have such a great team! I have learnt so much from all of the women at the foundation, they are so full of joy and enthusiasm and it has been a genuine privilege to meet them and spend each day talking and learning with them. I already can't wait to come and visit in the future!

I visited Arusha in February and volunteered with Tupendane for 1 month, were I grew very close to the women and children there. Rosie welcomed me with open arms and treated me like one of her own. She is strong and works hard to make sure everyone around her is okay. Christine and Evelyn are incredible women who also volunteer in teaching the children, they are patient and have so much love for all the kids. Tupendane really is a special place!
I loved my time at Rose Flower Daycare. The community there is so welcoming and bring you in as part of the family. The children are absolutely beautiful and I had the best time playing and learning with them during class times and their breaks. Rose and Elisha are doing an amazing job in building this community. Thank you so much for everything!

I recently volunteered for a month at the Roseflower Daycare in Tanzania, and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. The staff were welcoming and dedicated, creating a warm and nurturing environment for the children. I had the opportunity to engage in daily activities, help with lessons, and provide individual support, which allowed me to make a real connection with the kids. The daycare’s commitment to the children’s well-being and development was evident, and it felt meaningful to be part of such a positive impact on the community. I highly recommend this placement to anyone looking to volunteer abroad in early childhood education.
